Question:
What should I pack in my hospital bag for giving birth?
Answer:

This was a great post on one of our social media groups, and the feedback was awesome. Here are some great suggestions for the essentials to include in your hospital bag, for the labour ward and beyond:

  • Water spray
  • Witch hazel gel
  • Ear plugs
  • Snacks
  • Dry shampoo
  • Magazines
  • Towels
  • Handheld fan
  • Frozen drinks (will defrost in your bag but they keep cool)
  • Flip-flops
  • Puzzle books
  • A good novel
  • Lip balm
  • Headphones for phone
  • “Seriously big pants! ( I’ve had 2 C-sections)”
  • Loose-fitting bottoms if you’re having a c section
  • Tea bags
  • Dettol wipes
  • Flannel
  • Hairbrush
  • Toothbrush
  • Chocolate
  • Pillow from home
  • Change for car park and for your birthing partner to get a drink/food.
  • Bendy straws! So your birthing partner can feed you drinks
  • Wet wipes
  • Music and relax!

And don’t forget your pants, pyjamas / nighties, breast pads, and maternity pads…

Thank you ladies!
