Any good recipes for slime?

Looking for a foolproof recipe for creating slime, the latest craze to catch the eye of the nation’s kids? Our social media members agreed on the following recipe:

1/2 cup PVA glue

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Contact lens fluid or eye wash (must contain boric acid, or borax)

Mix together, and add food colouring (colouring gel or paste, not the watery food colour).  Add 1 tsp of contact lens fluid at a time until you get the right consistency.

“We also added shaving foam (not gel) which we discovered made a better slime. Mix foam in at the same time as eye solution. Mix and then knead it once it’s pliable enough. It was really easy.”

“I’ve used this recipe – turned out amazing. All my little ones at my Stripy Monkey craft class loved it!”

Keep it in a sealed container when not in use, and it will last for a good couple of months’ play.
